Upper vertical sliding sash
This system is used when regular ventilation is required.
It can be mounted within the 'staff beads' of a sash window, allowing the upper pane to be opened whilst the lower pane remains fixed and enabling the retention of working internal shutters.
All secondary glazing site lines will be matched up with your existing glazing bars to ensure that your windows retain their period features without being compromised by secondary glazing. This is essential when preserving the character of your historic property whilst improving the thermal efficiency.
Our slim, lightweight framework can be powder-coated to any RAL or BS number to complement your exisitng decor. The end result is a virtually invisible glazing which can hardly be seen, inside the building, or from outside. This style of secondary glazing can be made to mirror the idosyncrasies of your primary windows, with engineered for arch/bow tops and even curved-in-plan. Our Upper Vertical Sliding Sash unit is held in place using our magnetic system and is easily removable for cleaning and maintenance purposes.
Our secondary glazed units are available in an extensive range of RAL or BS colours, can be filmed with a variety of different films from UV to Privacy and our replacement ironmongery also comes in a range of finishes. We also offer two different types of glass. For more information please see our Finishing Touches section.more info
