We are often asked specifically to work on historic building renovation projects, working in conjunction with a number of leading construction companies and architects throughout the UK.
Whether it is an upgrade, a renovation to an existing historic building or a complete change of use to apartments or hotels, Storm has a sound understanding of the challenges and opportunities that can arise during these projects, and we use our engineering and technical knowledge and skills to offer the best solutions, whilst conserving the historic windows.
The renovation of an older building can be fraught with complications, as well as rules and regulations on what can and can’t be done. Whether it’s a small renovation with three windows to treat or a large building conversion with three hundred windows, Storm will find a workable, discreet solution.
We will work alongside the architect, principal contractor and any conservation bodies involved, gaining an understanding of everyone’s role and hopes for the project. We can produce and install a sample window to allow all parties the chance to see it in action, and are always happy to meet and discuss the outcomes of the trial.
When potentially millions of pounds are being invested on high-end redevelopments, the right product and aesthetics is essential. Storm’s bespoke system complements the high level of renovation work and interiors expected during such prestigious projects.
Conserve the individual character of your hotel but save on fuel/energy costs. Owners of classic hotels are acutely aware of the need to offer the highest levels of comfort and service to customers to keep ahead of the market.
We understand that maintaining your reputation is paramount, and the comfort and enjoyment of your customers is therefore essential.
We give you a quality assurance that no disruption will take place to your business during the survey and fitting of our units. There is very little noise and no mess during the installation and our surveyor/fitters leave the rooms as they find them – clean and tidy.
