Cutting draughts – and heating bills!

It was with energy efficiency in mind that the owners of this beautiful Grade II* listed Georgian terrace near Covent Garden called us in to install 52 units in their 11 luxury apartments.

Despite the age of the property, the owners were intent on maximising energy efficiency and introduced a number of measures to help achieve this, such as our bespoke secondary glazing, which has stopped heat escaping through the draughty older windows.

Our hand-crafted units have made a considerable difference to the warmth of the apartments, whilst remaining sensitive to the building’s architectural heritage as they are virtually invisible, and so don’t detract from the original windows at all.

The building’s new features, including our secondary glazing, are expected to reduce the annual energy demand of the residential development by just under 20% compared to a building of similar age without the modifications – which is an incredible saving.
