‘The view from my window’ photo competition

As we’re all staying safe and staying home, it seemed a perfect opportunity to appreciate the glimpses we’re getting of the outside world at the moment through our windows. The gallery we produce will become not just another snapshot in our photo reel, but a snapshot of a moment in history.

Whether it’s a beautiful dawn or sunset, the fruits of your labours in your garden, wildlife you spy through your window, a moody sky or an eerily deserted high street! Be as creative as you like.

Please be mindful, however, that any identifiable persons captured in the image must have given their permission for their image to be used.

About the National Trust

2020 marks the National Trust’s 125th birthday and they’ve come a long way since Octavia Hill, Sir Robert Hunter and Canon Hardwicke Rawnsley founded the National Trust on 12 January 1895.

Its founders believed that nature, beauty and history are for everyone and so set up the Trust to look after the nation’s coastline, historic sites, countryside and green spaces.

With 5.6 million members, 65,000 volunteers and 14,000 staff the National Trust is now the biggest conservation charity in Europe, caring for over 250,000 hectares of farmland, 780 miles of coastline and 500 historic properties, gardens and nature reserves, for everyone, for ever.

The Prize

We’re offering a gift Family Membership to the National Trust. This entitles a family of two adults (aged 18+) living at the same address and their children or grandchildren (17 or under) to gain free entry to any of the National Trust sites advertised as open to the public for a period of 12 months. Under 5s go free.

The 12-month prize period will start when the National Trust re-opens its properties following the lockdown period, when it is considered safe to do so.
